“Do you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? Makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other people’s lives have we been in? Were we a part of someone’s life when their dreams came true? Or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in as is if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think. You could be a big part of someone else’s life and not even know it.”—Lucas Scott (via fateama)
Watching Coffee House instead of playing in it is so different.
Well, TECHINCALLY didn’t play in it. That Gotye bit with Hayden and Annie was for funzies and planned at the last minute since we knew that song wasn’t gonna go too well.
But, back to the point, watching Coffee House made me happy and re-appreciate it, since playing has always made it something I stress over, comparing myself to the other acts, getting frustrated over how badly I do, but this time, just watching it was quite fun to take everything in and laugh in the moments and applaud all my fellow musicians regardless of how their set went.
